Sustainable Energy Technologies Certificate Program


Overview


This certificate program introduces sustainability and green technologies and demonstrates why energy innovations are critical for the future. Learners will be introduced to different types of clean energy technology such as: wind turbines, solar power, hydroelectricity, geothermal energy, tidal energy, and fuel cells. Learners will also discuss how advances in energy storage technologies are making these systems more economical and how advances in electric vehicles are going to increase demand for new energy sources. The implementation of clean energy technologies is also studied to understand how they can work either in conjunction with, or as a replacement for, conventional power sources.

Upon completion of the certificate program learners will be able to describe the mechanics of how power and heat are generated, financially evaluate and compare sustainable energy technologies, and describe the major steps required to design, implement, and manage their own sustainable energy projects.

Environmental Social Governance (ESG)


Overview


ESG is a 4 module, 42-hour course that is focused on introducing and creating new approaches to ESG, both for organizations and individuals, to become more attractive for potential investors and make conscious evaluations on deciding where and when to invest, respectively. Through this fully asynchronous course learners are provided with foundations in the development and management of ESG indicators and Sustainability strategies.

At the end of the course, learners should leave with the tools necessary to develop inspiring initiatives and successfully promote them into their organizations, and the ability to identify the right alternatives of investment and practice they would be willing to follow.

This course is designed to provide individuals with a foundational background and understanding of ESG and to spark interest in one of the biggest movements towards a balance between People, Planet, Prosperity, Purpose and Partnership.

Corporate Social Responsibility


Overview


Throughout the three modules, learners are provided with guidelines on how to improve an organization’s environmental footprint, employee engagement, transparency, waste management, human rights performance, community investment, and responsible supply chain management. Learners are provided with basic foundation of Corporate Social Responsibility and are taught sustainable frameworks used by the world’s largest tech, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail and mining companies. In addition, this course teaches learners how to tackle and attempt to resolve CSR challenges in industry/companies, gives practical, real-world knowledge, and teaches how to apply CSR by drawing on experiences from global thought leaders in the field.

Project Management Foundation for Success


Overview


The Project Management Foundation for Success course is an online, self-paced, 40-hour, twelve module comprehensive course that provides content that aligns with the Project Management Institute Inc. (PMI) “A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide)”. This guide is a recognized and accepted standard of knowledge as related to project management world-wide.

The course focuses on preparing graduates to understand project management and how to apply the success principles of Project Management to projects.

At the end of the course, learners should leave with the knowledge, vocabulary and skills needed to manage projects in professional situations successfully and will qualify to write the Project Management Institute’s (PMI’s) Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).

Overview


Waste is one of the leading problems of our time – increasing waste volumes, increasing severity of impact and costs and the challenge of managing waste in developing countries and emerging markets are causing a dramatic shift in sustainability practices world-wide. Countries around the globe are moving towards a circular economy and waste must be dealt with in new, innovative ways rather than simply sending it to landfill. The Sustainable Waste Management (SWM) Certificate Course is an online, 80-hour course that focuses on assisting learners in building advanced knowledge and skills in Sustainable Waste Management (SWM). Overview


The Blockchain, Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Certificate Program provides learners with knowledge, strategies, tools, and skills related to the use of Blockchain, Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency in the workplace.

Blockchain and Cryptocurrency skills are required in a variety of fields including government, health, education, financial services, logistics, real estate, start-ups, oil and gas, the non-profit sector and business.

Overview


This 42-hour, 5 module course introduces logistics and supply chain management as an integrated discipline practiced in the private and public sectors. It is designed to provide an overview of logistics functions and their application to supply chain management. Emphasis is on the total integration of the supply chain from raw material production through end customer support and final disposal.

Advanced Supply Chain


Overview


This 42-hour, 5 module course addresses the means of creating customer value in manufacturing and service businesses through the design and implementation of effective internal operations management (OM) in relation to supply chain management (SCM). Topics include product, service, and process design, capacity planning and utilization, facilities planning, cost controls, materials management, work and resource scheduling, statistical process control, supply chain management, and quality assurance. Project management is presented in relation to SCM/OM concepts and enterprise applications.
